The Journey Begins

I took my first Goenka Vipassana course in March 2010 and I completed 7 months of long term service at Dhamma Patapa in Jesup, GA in July 2012. I participated in long term service to gain a deeper understanding of this powerful and difficult practice. Now I’m presented with the great challenge of integrating this practice into my daily life. I’ve decided to write a blog about this daily struggle because reading my experience may help support and motivate other meditators in this tradition to work through similar barriers in their practices.

Without integration to daily life, so called “great teachings” are just great knowledge. Through daily practice, then we melt outside knowledge to inside understanding. After that we are part of knowledge. It is a forever and hard journey.
